Some of Europe's best Bollywood and Indian Classical solo artists and groups are going to compete for the title of Europe's Best Bollywood Performer and/or Group right here in Tampere! They will perform in front of our superstar judges Raymond Callanan and Ravi Varma at the glorious Union Work & Leisure Club.
Doors and bar opens at 19:00. Competition from 19:30 till 22:00.
Entry fee is 7 € from the door.
Show Night gathers more than 200 performers on the same stage. Enjoy the visually stunning and surprising show that lets children and adults alike showcase their passion for dancing.
In this years show the spectators get to enjoy performances by Danny's Bollywood Dance Crew (Finland ), Ruel Varindani (Philippines), Ravi Varma (India), Amit Patel (USA), Anna Dimitratou (Greece), Sumon Rudra (Greece) and Divya Jenifer (India).

The queen of BollyWhack is making a special appearance at Indian Dance Festival! Kumari Suraj will teach us her signature style during an exclusive workshop available for those who have bought one or two-day workshop package for IDF18.

On the third day of the festival, Indian Dance Festival goes yoga! The yin yoga class is arranged at GoGo Park. Yin yoga is relaxing deep tissue stretching, which will make you feel amazing both inside and outside! To make it extra special, we are also going to have live music during the class, which is taken care by renowned sitar-artist Lari Aaltonen. The magical sitar music is going to transfer you straight to India! Join us and get to know Indian culture in a relaxing manner.
On movie night we get to enjoy a popular Bollywood movie in a free event organized at DBDC studio. During the movie, it's also possible to buy delicious snacks provided by vegetarian restaurant Gopal. So, please make sure to bring some cash with you! You can also bring your own snacks. This event is family friendly.
On the opening day, Indian Dance Festival gives back! Themes of the day are nature protection, green values and thanking one of our main sponsors City of Tampere. The festivities start with planting trees in the Vuores residential area and is followed by a massive flash mob and a speech by the Indian ambassador of Finland and Estonia. Children participating in the event will receive small theme approriate gifts for home delivery.
The tree plantation ceremony takes place at Vuores, Park Virolaisenpuisto (Sartrenkuja 4, Tampere) at 17.30. The ceremony continues at Vuoreksen koulu (Rautiolanrinne 2, 33870 Tampere) at 18.00 with speeches and dance performances.
